Buenos Aires - AES Argentina, a leading energy generation company, was awarded 23 contracts to supply wind energy to renowned companies in the country; positioning itself as a benchmark in renewable energy sales with 34% of the share, excluding companies with self-generation.

The companies include Atanor, Mastellone, Vicentin, Transclor, Fundición San Cayetano, Saesa, Acerbrag, Tannery Arlei, Manuli, Cerámicas Lourdes, Riosma, Sibelco, Grupo Unicer and La Pastoriza. The signed agreements are of different duration since they were established for periods of 20, 15, 12 and 10 years.

The provision of energy will be carried out through new wind farms built by the company, which are in the completion stage of the work. These are: Eolic Energy Park, located in the town of Tres Picos (Province of Buenos Aires) and Wind Park Vientos Neuquinos, located in Bajada Colorada (Province of Neuquén).

“AES Argentina has the objective of reaching 500 MW of clean energy by 2023, with the construction of wind farms mainly, of which 200 MW are part of these agreements reached. We are very proud of the path we are taking and that today makes us the most important generator of renewable energies with the highest volume of sales to customers in the country. The key to the success achieved in the execution of these projects is undoubtedly the relationship of trust that we were able to develop over time with our clients, with whom we promised to continue betting on the development of the country for the next 10 years at least”, highlighted Emiliano Chaparro, Commercial Director of AES Argentina.

The signing of these agreements is part of AES Corporation's global strategy to advance towards a safer and more sustainable energy future based on growth focused on renewable energies, leveraged on long-term relationships with strategic clients.
